I have both a debt crisis and income crisis, in that my income does not cover my debt. I have been trying desparately to find something that I could do at home, late at night (after everyone is in bed) to earn extra income but have not been very successful. Either everything I have tried has been a rip-off, too time consuming, I didn't understand the process or it cost too much to get started. I have a full-time job outside of the home, a husband, two teenagers at home and one in college. Can you suggest something for me to do? I have seriously been considering starting a cleaning service that I can do at night (possibly for real estate agencies that need someone to "make ready" the residences) and have my children work with me (on the days they don't have sport or church activities). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jeni, are you involved in a group where you can ask specific questions? Rather than scrap what you've started, can you hire someone to get the basics set up so that you can post and make minor changes? I try to take one step at a time, otherwise it gets too overwhelming.

Treece,
I love WordPress, but it scares me. I couldn't get my Suite101 badge to fit properly, and that's supposed to be so simple. I haven't tried to do anything difficult! I haven't even posted to the blog in several months, I was so frustrated with it. I don't want to switch to a different platform, because others don't have WP's versatility, but I need it up and running. WordPress is known as the Cadillac of blogs, but if I can't make it go, wouldn't I be better off with a Bondo Buggy that I can drive? I've read so many tutorials and such (everything on WP's site and boards, for example) and can't make sense of any of it; I am afraid that your information will be the same. Will it?
I appreciate any comments you have for me.

Since you already have a business and a website, I recommend trying the free peek at Mom Masterminds. Although it's a paid membership group, the resources and support are well worth the price (see link on this page). There are tons of free resources out there, but this one will allow you to chat in a more private environment and our sales have grown exponentially.

You need to learn everything possible about getting traffic to your website. Google adwords can work, but can suck up your money really quickly so be careful and test with small budget amounts. You can sell on eBay, put your video or teaser up on YouTube, answer related questions on Yahoo answers, and visit forums where people are learning to do the types of things your DIY video does. It can be overwhelming, so make sure you look at it like an adventure.
One step at a time. Search for "free traffic" ideas and you can be reading and learning all day long.

Best of luck!
